Hot Drinks Recipes

A sultry, smouldering hot chocolate that will disarm you with its smooth and comforting chocolate taste before lashing you with naughty spices. Spend a moment with our Devil's Hot Chocolate and keep warm on a cold winter's day. Your devil awaits...

Introducing the Rose Gold Hot Chocolate! This is a fantastic mix of smooth white chocolate and sweet cherry for a truly indulgent treat.

They said it couldn't be done. They were wrong! We have taken the almond and cherry flavours of a Bakewell tart and infused them into a smooth hot chocolate. Meet our most ambitious drink yet and welcome to an amazing new taste experience.

The Devil's Hot Chocolate

Treat yourself with this sweet and disarming hot chocolate that brings with it a spicy, devilish kick to warm you on these cold winter nights. This is one of our seasonal favourites bringing a bit of sweetness and heat to Bonfire Night, Halloween festivities and the holiday season.

Ingredients for 1 cup:

  • 8 pieces of dark chocolate
  • 1 heaped tsp of dark cocoa powder - the higher the cocoa solid concentration the better
  • 2 tsps of golden caster sugar
  • Pinch of paprika - plus extra for the topping
  • ½ tsp of cayenne pepper (increase this if you want a spicier drink)
  • 240ml (1 cup) of milk
  • Spray cream

Method:

  1. Heat the milk up in the microwave using a microwaveable vessel.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave – be careful not to overcook.
  3. Add the melted chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar and spices – whisk well.
  4. Return to the microwave for 30 seconds and whisk – continue this process until the hot chocolate is bubbling.
  5. Pour into the cup for serving.
  6. Spray on the cream.
  7. Sprinkle the additional paprika for decoration.

If you want to mix it up a bit, then you can add some cinnamon topping for an extra zing.

Rose Gold Hot Chocolate

This is an indulgent, smooth hot chocolate drink, combining yummy white chocolate and cherry syrup to give a lovely pink appearance and a sweet 'hug in a mug' taste.

Ingredients for 1 cup:

  • 60g (¼ cup) white chocolate
  • 250 ml (1 cup & 1 tbs) of milk
  • 1½ tbs cherry syrup
  • Spray cream for topping
  • Pink stardust

Method:

  1. Heat the milk up in the microwave using a microwaveable vessel.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave – be careful not to overcook. This takes approximately 2 1/2 mins - heat in 30-second increments to avoid burning the white chocolate.
  3. Add the melted chocolate slowly in small increments to the warm milk whisking continuously to ensure that the mixture is fully combined.
  4. Add the cherry syrup and mix to give a lovely pink appearance.
  5. Pour into a cup for serving.
  6. Add the spray cream to the top.
  7. Sprinkle with the pink stardust and serve !!
